In Retrospect.

Realization 1: Hacked! really wasn't that bad. If nothing else, it's a huge, long-running TF work that made me believe I could do something that long, playing with themes that I liked. I may do something similar to that in the future, possibly as a collab with other Deviants using GDocs. I also really need to do the Eevee things I promised people - no, I don't forget anything. 

Realization 2: My TF fetish is just that - a fetish. It isn't hurting anybody if I happen to like it unless I get superpowers or something - if you annoy me too much, I may turn you into a Chihuahua. It also doesn't hurt that I try to make stuff with better quality than most. The more I paw through whatever TF strikes my fancy at the moment, the more I think that good TF writing is a rarity. I still don't think it's a proper genre by itself, but love it as an element in written work. 

Realization 3: Omega Ruby is actually a good game by itself. I daresay it's better than X/Y. I really wish Pokemon didn't suddenly take up the Kingdom Hearts approach in that the story doesn't feel complete in its own game, as X/Y fails to tie the two plot threads of Mega Evolution and Team Flare/Ultimate Weapon together, but somehow OR does it in a mere few sentences. Delta Episode may or may not be good according to your tastes, but, at the very least, Sky Pillar looks glorious in 3D and it offers a fresh take on both the Rayquaza (and Weather Trio) legend, as well as tying Mega Evolution in better than the two flagship Gen VI games. As much as I enjoyed my Egglocke playthrough, this isn't a good sign for Pokemon as a whole. 

Realization 4: I don't care what anybody says. Working with cobras, dead or alive, is one of the best jobs ever. Ditto for cleaning crocodile skulls with a toothbrush. 

That said, tripmania occurreth throughout October. Yay.
