If I hadn't thought up something even weirder recently, I'd say I was a perverted, twisted person for thinking up queen devils. The notes on queens in general are in my gallery, but they don't cover the sub-varieties.
Snow queens are almost exactly what it says on the can: a variant of queen devil with white feathers, better adapted to cold than her black-feathered sisters. Of course, magical scientists had a lot of fun tweaking things so that those wings could actually fly after maturity, and the added, feathery fluff on the ears, digits and tail is nothing short of adorable (and functional). Clutch sizes are small (4-5 eggs at the start as opposed to the original's 10 or so), and extra calcium in the diet is a must.
Did I mention snow queens like cuddling up to their owners, especially on cold nights? You're welcome.
No matter what you say about this drawing, queen devils are my idea, and the original drawing is with the commissioner, now.
