So there's a bill on the Senate floor now suggesting the ban of all pythons from the entire U.S.
Not Florida. Not the Southernmost areas in which Burmese pythons compete with alligators for the " top predator" spot. The whole U.S. of Asses.
Remember those huge rants about HR669 going around? We sunk that one...almost. The bill has now been reincarnated as a different proposition, one that focuses exclusively on pythons. This isn't cool; ball pythons make some of the best pets ever. It's only going to snowball into other reptiles from there.
I say we put an end to this legal BS. There is very little scientific evidence to support banning snakes. I've said it before and I'll say it again: You could make a much better case for banning dogs than you can for pythons if you relied on cold, hard data. There is no ' ecological reason' to ban pythons, giant or no.
The fact that it's always just snakes should be a dead giveaway that there's bias behind each and every one of these acts. People need to seriously wake up and see that there is no science behind these bills, just misinformation, fear, and personal preferences. I don't think I have ever witnessed such an unjust law as HR669 and its legal hellspawn.

It's always about reptiles.. but how many people are attacked by other pets each day(such as dogs, cats, etc. [and I don't have anything against those animals]). I hate that all of the hate is directed towards reptiles.. most people are just taught to hate them. It's ridiculous.
